Mark Mills of  Mills Design kindy agreed to help with the design and optimisation work of the Bus and David Heritage Racing Yachts of Cowes are carrying out the rebuilding project. Keith Tippell worked on the numbers with Mark before he  set off on his New Zealand trip.      Peter Morton, from whom we purchased Runaway Bus, has also been of immense help and without Roger Marino's relentless energy and knowledge we wouldn't be at the stage we are.

The overall original idea was to strip the boat of all deck gear, replace the keel, rudder and spars setting out a new deck layout.

The new Z Spar mast with 20 degree swept back spreaders will allow for a taller rig and the ability to reduce drastically overlap on the forsail.

That should make it more difficult for the bowman..................

Oops...............was H's idea of taking the deck off a good idea?
